Truth has nothing to do with words.Truth can be likened to a bright moon in the sky.Words can be likened to a finger pointing at the moon. If you concentrate on the finger too hard you will miss all that heavenly glory. ( Taoist proverb)

The Sea has no memory

Published February 26, 2012 by Janos Neder

The Sea has no memory.
It rolls on, impervious to the notion of time.
It was here before we were born.
It will continue long after we are all gone.
It has no fear of death.
In all it’s vast width and depth,
the Sea has no memory.
It is the place to cast adrift our hopes, fears and regrets.
It is the place to seek redemption and strength.
It has no concepts of right or wrong.
It does not judge or condemn.
It accepts all, positive and negative with impunity.
For it is the cradle of all life.
A place of unimaginable power and mystery.
And whatever you cast into it’s belly will be washed away.
For the Sea has no memory.

Guided Imagery

What is Guided Imagery ?

Guided Imagery is a powerful skill you can learn to help you take control over your state of Mind. Guided Imagery is a way of retrieving and utilizing positive associations from the Inner Mind (a.k.a. the subconscious ) I deem it an essential skill to help cope with today’s fast paced stress filled world.

Here’s how it works.

How it works is a by using ‘redirection of attention’. Directing attention away from your critical reasoning mind (the Left Brain) with its worries, concerns and stresses, steering it gently inwardly into Deep Inner Mind (The Right Brain). The Deep Inner Mind is the repository of our long term memories and associations, core reactions, autonomic bodily functions, feelings, imagination and dreams. It is here that the full power of our imagination, focused attention and associative memory can be used in a powerful and structured way to create a place of deep relaxation, healing and peace

Associative Memory

Our memories are stored as ‘associations’ with our senses, we will call this ability of the brain to recall by association ‘associative memory’. Associative memory is something we have all experienced. A particular smell, song or glimpse of of some long forgotten object evokes a specific scene out of our memory, often in startling detail. Our minds have this very profound holographic ability to recall by association. Nothing is ever lost.

Guided Imagery uses the Mind’s inherent associative ability to create a shift internally.

We create new beneficial associations by accessing the Deep Inner Mind and harnessing the power of your imagination and visualization in a powerful and structured way. In a Guided Imagery session the client is in a state of deep relaxed yet focused awareness. Here we can create positive scenarios, you experience it, identify with it and then set ‘anchors’ (specific cues) to help your Mind retrieve these new associative memory feelings at will.

Learning the skills of Guided Imagery can be done one on one, in a group or on-line.

Nekyia (nek-eye-ya)

Published November 18, 2011 by Janos Neder

Is an ancient Greek term for the journey into darkness, the underworld. References to the Nekyia can be found in Homer’s Odyssey for one. It is also a ritual journey of the Soul where we descend into the darkest recesses of our own underworld to expose our deepest fears and meet our shadow selves .

A Nekyia can also take the form of a Healing Crisis. Your Deep Inner Mind wants your full attention, and nothing grabs the attention faster than having the bottom drop out of your world. Frequently a personal crisis contains the seeds of both danger and opportunity.

The purpose of a Nekyia is to reach a deep understanding of our triggers, drives and core reactions. By doing so in a mindful way we unify the light and the dark in us and can emerge from our Dark Night of the Soul reborn and healed.

It is a Journey that eventually all Spiritual Seekers must undertake

A little parable

There was a man called Dennis who was just a normal every day guy walking around in a semi fog like most of Humanity. One day quite out of the blue a light bulb went on and Dennis realized his true nature: That he was a stream of localized self aware consciousness that was really part of a vast Universe who happened to be simultaneously walking around in a body on Planet Earth. This blew a hole in his understanding and he had a freak out moment.
“Hey… it’s all OK Dennis, there’s no need to freak out” said a voice from deep inside his head. You are just noticing for the first time that ‘you’ are actually part of one great energy field. You are waking up to the fact that ‘you’ are one with everyone else, just as they are with you…Is that cool or what?

Dennis asked the voice “ does this mean that I don’t really need a Teacher, followers, title or a even a funky Mystical nick name to find enlightenment”?  “ Right on Bunky”  the voice continued “besides the notion of enlightenment, it’s all just an illusion anyway. Enlightenment, it just means waking up and remembering what we already know we are” said the voice.
This idea was so electrifying that Dennis decided he wanted to help wake up all the other little fragments of this energy field called Humanity that were still asleep, but how to go about it, this was the question.

‘I know’ he thought! I will just interact fully with everyone I meet and help others to wake up by just smiling at them…no words are necessary. As we are all one energy those who get it will get it, those who don’t will in time….Since we are all immortal consciousness (Dennis realized) we have all of eternity to work out the riddle of ourselves, so what’s the hurry, just relax and let it happen all by itself. With that Dennis went out into the World and resumed his life….fully awake this time. The End…or is it actually the beginning….

One Man’s Opinion

Pick your fights carefully, but keep in mind that you probably won’t  see the punch that knocks you out coming.

Give up the need to debate and argue, but still keep an open ear and mind. Be discerning in all things, especially when choosing friends and lovers. Keep your feet on the ground while letting your Spirit sore through the sky.

Time is the most precious thing of all no amount of money and wishing will bring it back, so spend it wisely. Self improvement (inside and out) and raising your Children right are the two best investments you are likely to make. Value your True Friends and Family for what they are: Irreplaceable.

I believe that global shift into a higher state of awareness will not happen by means of a catastrophe, for that will only push us further into a fear based survival mode. If it can be achieved it must come by means of love and compassion. A  tangible and direct experience of the divine. And this comes by gradual removal of fear from our Minds like a fog lifting, to reveal what we already know; that we are all immortal, universal and infinite consciousness.

The Black Panther as an Animal Totem

Published November 11, 2011 by Janos Neder

One of the most striking and noble of the big cats and a personal favourite of mine

Represents: The Dark Mother, The Feminine, The Dark Moon

Symbol: Reclaiming one’s power, Stealth, Majesty, Symbolic Death and Rebirth.

Other Associations: Psychic abilities, Black Panthers also can be associated with Centaurs and the Greek God Dionysus.

Dionysus was a God of life, wine, ritual excess, rebirth, passion and resurrection. He is also linked with the journey to meet the “Dwellers on the Threshold” ( our Shadow Selves). Dionysus had to overcome his Shadow Self through many years of wandering, plundering, suffering and madness.

The Black Panther is associated with the reclaiming of power, healing, redemption and overcoming the Shadow Self.

The Panther way of fighting is stealth…silent stalking and then going swiftly for the throat. If this is your totem beware of your ability to wound others deeply. The Night is your power time. The Black Panther is a very powerful Animal Totem, it can also represent the rising energies of the Kundalini.

Food for Thought

Over the last two years whilst I was writing my book etc. I did a lot of Soul searching and vacillation trying to decide what direction to go in. Should I become a speaker and teacher or withdraw and disappear from society altogether. Well now I know for certain.
For all of us on the planet the next few years are going to be one of tremendous upheaval and change as a we deconstruct the old models and hopefully reinvent ourselves in a positive way.
Those of us who have been doing this Spiritual shifting internally over the years will have to help guide this change for it to go in the proper direction. Each of us will have to decide how to best fulfill this task.

I believe (at this time in our history) it is especially important to connect with and mutually support the efforts of those whom wish to help shift the current trends of Humanity towards a brighter future. Each positive act and thought no matter how small will collectively contribute to a big shift. It all starts with you.

I am all about practicality. If you cannot put something into practice to improve your life or state of mind what good is it? Without this element it is like putting a expensive saddle on a stuffed horse…Looks good, but you can’t ride it anywhere. (Neder)
